In his capacity as a Chartered Accountant David Bunker  has had a long standing involvement with enterprises working within the green energy sector.

He served for over ten years as a Trustee of the Centre for Sustainable Energy, based in Bristol and was a pioneer Director of Bath and West Community Energy. He has also served as a Director of Sustain Limited and Mongoose Energy Limited and has sought to bring the disciplines of his professional training to this new and exciting sector.

David is currently the Director of Windcluster 2000 Ltd, a windfarm based in Cumbria,  and of three community owned renewable energy companies; Chelwood Community Energy, Bristol Energy Centre and Orchard Community Energy.

The Chelwood solar scheme is in a 25 acre field at Church Farm in the village of Chelwood, near Bath. It comprises just under 5MW of solar photovoltaic panels, mounted on a steel racking system, which in turn sits on shallow steel screw pile foundations to minimize ground impact. The panels sit above the ground to ensure that sunlight reaches the grass below the racking. For more information click here.
